Grief is a real journey after you lose a loved one. There are many different stages and there is no set time to get over this tremendous hurt. Just when you think you may be doing a little better, you feel an ambush attack. The slightest event can trigger something familiar that you enjoyed with your loved one and bring back sweet memories that are never to come again; you feel that overwhelming feeling of pain.
Even though you have faith in the giver of life, our Lord Jesus Christ, you still realize that you have to endure a season of time on earth without your loved one. So you set your mind on things above, on Jesus and the beautiful Heaven he has prepared for all those who love Him. You remind yourself that those who believe in Jesus and love Him, will one day reunite with all of our loved ones in Christ who went on before.
Out of my own grief for the loss of my husband 4 months ago, came this song.
