One morning I was pleasantly awoken by a beautiful Christian song, entiled THRIVE made by a Christian group called CASTING CROWNS. I thought it was beautifuly done and the song really spoke to me. It is a song that should speak to all of us!! None of us were meant to let our dreams die and just whither and come to nothing. The Lord told us in the scriptures that he is the true vine and we are the branches and if we abide in Him and HE in us we will flourish and thrive. HE let us know that without HIM and HIS living water running through us we can do nothing!!(John:15) In Psalms 1:1, we are adominshed to be like a tree planted by streams of water in order to yield much fruit. Then we will prosper and not whither. Jesus spoke of HIS living water to the woman at the well in John:4 He told the woman that if she drank HIS living water (spiritually) she would never thirst again. His living water is a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
With the living water of Jesus working through us indeed we can thrive!! We can “shine like the sun and make the darkness run and hide.” Our Lord dwells in the light but our enemy always in the darkness and that enemy hates the light. The song speaks of the joy we can obtain through HIS love and then nothing is impossible with a faith that is unsinkable. God does not intend for us to remain idle and whither. HE wants us to thirst for HIM, to know HIM, to lift HIM up high, to make HIM known to others everywhere. All this is possible with HIS living water flowing through us!! I love this song and had to learn it!! So after listening to CASTING CROWNS sing this song so gloriously, I went to my piano and came out with my own arrangement which I am putting under other artists.
